Drop Twenty-Five

Psalm 1:1-2

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit at the feet of scoffers! But his delight is in the Law of the Lord and he meditates on it day and night.” (NASB1995)

It seems that whenever the Law of the Lord is mentioned my mind is quick to remember The Ten Commandments. While I do have them memorized, I am so grateful that Jesus reduced them from ten (10) to two (2). “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:37-39, NASB1995).

Love is revealed through words and actions. Love is slow to anger – which means we must take time to respond rather than react. Words are powerful. They have the power to hurt and to heal. May we choose to respond wisely to those around us.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to reside within us and gently guide us. May we listen for His promptings and respond. May we meditate on Your Word so that we may be blessings to each other. Regardless of which stage we are in on the journey of life, may we trust You with everything.

In Jesus’ Name,

AMEN
