Drop Thirty-Six

1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether, then, you eat or drink, do all to the glory of God” (NASB1995).

Thanks to one purchase and donations from friends, we now have replaced most of the silk plants with real plants in our new home. The plants we had before were left behind as there was no room in the moving truck. A few of the new plants needed repotted this week as they were struggling to grow and thrive in their pots. My husband and I purchased two bags of potting soil, two large pots, and plant trays with wheels.

Once I was prepared and donned my gardening gloves, I decided which plant would go in which pot. Four were transplanted. I found that two of the plants were seriously root bound. My husband reminded me to watch for shock with the plants as transplanting is traumatic. Not much different than our experiences over the past year. Although it has been for the best, there is so much more to being uprooted and moved than what is seen on the surface.

Heavenly Father,

You knit us together in the wombs of our mothers. You have numbered our days and continue to equip each of us with specific gifts and talents so that we may bring all honor and glory to You. May we truly seek to fulfill the purpose for which we are created. Thank You for Your peace, wisdom, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ Name,

AMEN
