Matthew 7:12

Jesus is speaking: "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets" NASB1995.

I nearly fainted the other day. Helping a friend during a busy time led to my own lack of focus for taking better care of myself. Thankfully, another friend was with me when it occurred. Coming together to help one another during this time reminds me of the Golden Rule as shared in Matthew 7:12. Sometimes I forget that I am part of the people to treat well. Looking out for one another includes accepting help and direction from others. It has been beautiful to see the people of the community coming together to help. The frozen food ministry run by a local church has helped us to care for ourselves while providing care for another.

We are so thankful for the helping hands that we have discovered during this time.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another glorious day. Yes, it was overcast, but the sunlight still offered light for our day. In Proverbs 11:24, scripture compares the results of one who "scatters" (shares) and one who "withholds". Help us to share with others in our sphere of influence these good gifts that You have given.

May our hearts be softened toward each other and filled with a desire to serve, bringing glory and honor to You.

In Jesus' name we pray,

AMEN
