Drop Six

First closing down and one more to go!

Yes, much of this blog has been regarding our move from here to there. We are downsizing. Downsizing is a lot like pruning and being pruned. It is difficult and can be painful but is so worth it. If we keep too much of the old stuff, it stunts the future growth of new stuff (not that I want any more stuff at this point 😃). When considering the cost of the move, we were aware that we would need to sacrifice some of our things. As the final day draws nears, it is more apparent that we have much to let go of. Those that are moving from the home we are buying are also downsizing. As we face similar circumstances, we have a great understanding of each other. I must say that this is the first time we have ever had the opportunity to bond with the current owners and the experience has been wonderful. Well, time to get back to packing! May God bless all of you!

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes so that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:1-2 (NASB 1995).

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for all that You are! You are our provider, councilor, redeemer and vinedresser. Thank You for the opportunity to trust You. This next chapter is new for us. Forgive us for the times that fear interferes with following Your path. We ask that You continue to guide us according to Your purpose as you have promised. As we continue on this journey, may our hearts be yielded to Your will.

In Jesus name we pray,

AMEN.

(I encourage you to read John 15 in its entirety).
