Drop Seven

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19 – 21 (NASB 1995)

Things left behind.

 I am writing this before the week begins. Before everything we keep is packed. Before everything that is left behind is left. I am writing this in anticipation of feeling freedom from our possessions. It is amazing how the things we own can eventually own us.

This move is different than the others. While every move is different, this one is truly unique. This time neither of us has a job, yet we are more financially secure than ever before. This time we are moving towards peace and rest. This time we are sitting down and planning before starting. First goal was to move by September 2023. We are on target. Now, to work on the rest.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your loving care. You are the marvelous creator of all. If there is anything that we have done or plan to do that is not pleasing to You, please bring it to our attention. Thank You for Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called  according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). As we progress through this week, may we seek and yield to Your will.
