Titus 3:14

“Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful” (NASB1995).

Having grown up in a rural community, returning to one after city living has been an easier transition than anticipated. The people of this community have been very welcoming, and I am a willing participant ready to learn. Rural communities pull together to help meet emergency needs of neighboring counties. This requires volunteers to be trained on how to best meet those possible needs. Tomorrow is a Medical Resource training event. A few of us are venturing out to participate in the training. It is a wonderful opportunity, and I will earn continuing education units as well to maintain my nursing license. In preparation, we are staying the night near the location of the training. Best to be rested before a day of learning. May what we learn prepare us to “engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs” (Titus 3:14, NASB1995).

Heavenly Father,

Thank You again for sending us to this area of like-minded believers. May the information we learn tomorrow prepare us for whatever is before us. May we share what we learn with others in our community and continue to build on our unity. Cleanse our hearts and minds from the thoughts that keep us from focusing on You and divide us from those we are called to love. May we be so saturated with You love that loving others will require little effort.

In the name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
