Ephesians 2

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so we would walk in them.”  (NASB1995).

It may sound silly, but I have been thinking a lot about “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” for the next classic movie. Rudolph and Hermey are both bullied and neglected by the majority for their differences. They become runaways but cannot escape their purpose. They feel like misfits and find themselves on the Island of Misfit Toys, where they also are misfits – because they are not toys. Accepting their uniqueness, they return home, but not without more adventures. The trials they faced together prepared them to use their uniqueness to serve others.

Heavenly Father,

I am so thankful that You have a plan and purpose for each of us. Sometimes we can fear the process of pursuing our dreams. Sometimes we find it easier to just follow what others have recommended rather than seeking to do Your will. Help us to seek Your plan. Help us to know and trust Your will. Help us let go of what is considered good for what You have for us that is better. May we have the courage to complete the work that You have for each of us to do to further Your kingdom and bring You Glory.

In Jesus Name,

AMEN
