Drop Forty-Six

Matthew 6:34

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (NASB1995).

So many invalid cries of urgency! Commercials, phone calls, emails, and sometimes text messages all demand an answer NOW! And yet, with all this anxiety producing data prowling around, it is more important to remain calm, research, and determine if all this urgency is real. Yes, some things must be done, but there is enough time to prioritize other pressing personal and professional items. So thankful for resources to ask questions and separate distractions from truth. As much as being able to remain calm during emergencies was helpful in my previous work, it can be paralyzing at times. Now, time to focus and prepare for what is next.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for wisdom to filter the distractions. May we be mindful of what is needed versus what is wanted. May we commit our work to You and trust the path You have laid before us. May the Holy Spirit prompt us throughout each day to do what must be done and calm us so we release the distractions. Please grant us the wisdom to know the difference between the two.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

AMEN
