Psalms 143:10-11

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me” (NASB1995).

Reading this passage of scripture today validated so much of my ponderings. So much time is spent questioning my motives that it becomes a distraction from fulfilling the purpose God has given me. We are called to love. We are called into a relationship with Jesus and fellow Christians. We are called to share His story through our testimony. We are called to serve in our communities. And what that service looks like depends much on where the Lord is leading and how He has gifted each of us. “Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey.” The chorus of that great hymn just entered these thoughts. A sense of peace is pouring over my heart and mind.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit, the comforter that was sent to work in Your beloved children as we live on Earth. “Teach [us] to do Your will, for You are [our] God; Let Your good Spirit lead [us] on level ground. For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive [us]”. May we seek to praise You each day for Your handiwork. May we delight in You and share our testimony of Your faithfulness to us through the work of Jesus.

In Jesus Name,

AMEN
