Drop Fifty-Six

Psalms 139:23 – 24

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way” (NASB1995).

“Hurt people hurt people” is very true. Breaking the cycle of hurt is not possible in our own strength. The analogies of farming to help understand and build relationships are very true. It is messy. It is work. It takes time, interventions of more than one person, patience, communication, and the grace of God. All the effort is so worth the reward. Empathy helps prevent  “adding insult to injury”. May we remember our young families as the school year begins and schedules fill. May those of us with a slower pace spend more time in prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for all that You have done and are doing to make us more like You. Thank You for the forgiveness we have received and the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide us. Guard our hearts and words. May we seek to encourage one another as we go through this life. May we be Your ambassadors this week and always.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

AMEN
