Drop Fifty

1 Peter 1:13

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (NASB1995).

Last weekend, feelings of excitement and terror regarding preparations for the Montrose Christian Writers Conference occupied my mind. Reviewing and polishing PowerPoints for the three classes I agreed to teach while praying through each day has minimized the fear and maintained the excitement. Part of my prep has been listening to the recordings from the 2023 Write to Publish Conference. Twila Belk stated more than once, “Trust and obey, then get out of the way”. I am working on that. Well, the Holy Spirit is working on that with me.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the opportunity to serve You and others in a new way. May our words and actions bring honor and glory to You. May all the faculty and attendees be blessed from the exchange of information, encouragement and opportunity to connect with others seeking to serve You through writing. Thank You for all who have worked together to create and maintain this conference for 35 years. Praying for Your will to prevail in our hearts and minds.
