Drop Eighty-Two

Ecclesiastes 11:10

“So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting” (NASB1995).

Childhood is now behind me, but I am not quite passed my prime – or so I think. There are days – it could go either way. I have been struggling with grief and anger for some time. There is only one thing I can do with it. Let it go. Sounds so easy, until something reminds me of emotional antiques. This too shall pass. I must allow the dirt, grime and poisons to be washed out of me so only the good stuff remains – love, hope, joy and peace. Like washing fruits and veggies. They stay fresher longer the sooner they are washed of impurities. Easier to enjoy, too. In Christ, I am free to be who He created me to be. I am a child of God. I Praise be to God!

Heavenly Father,

Thank You. Thank You for a new beginning each day. Thank You for hope in the darkness. Thank You for sunshine and rain. Thank You for the delicate balance demonstrating your creativity. May each of us choose love, hope, joy, and peace, while letting go of grief and anger. Help us not worry about tomorrow, let go of the events of yesterday, and enjoy the gift of today. And do the same thing tomorrow.

In the Name of Jesus we pray,

AMEN
