Drop Sixty

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up” (NASB1995).

We have now officially been in our new home for a full year. When we moved in, we considered buying a larger bed; after all these years, we are larger people. Neither of us is one to rush in to make purchases. And we do like a good deal if we can find one. For a full year, we have bounced this idea around, research, planned, and budgeted. Today, it is now a reality. Buying furniture is one thing, making room for the new piece through rearranging current pieces and deciding what to let go of take more time than one may realize. Lifting and carrying the new pieces in, putting the “puzzle” together are nearly impossible to do alone. So thankful that we made this decision together. And thankful that, so far, no one has fallen.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for everyone You have placed in our lives. Thank You for opportunities to work together towards common goals. May we seek to serve You by loving the people around us. May we lift each other up, whether physically, emotionally, or prayerfully throughout each day.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

AMEN
