Not For Sale

Watched a movie

With a single dad

Of a girl and a boy -

What joy they had.

The girl could sing

Though just a child

And her brother was

So meek and mild.

A lady came with praises

That caused the girl to beam.

To the little family, the “talent scout”

Claimed to build dreams.

Oh, she was so slick

And she was so coy.

She stole from parents

Many a girl and boy.

Hearts and minds must be

Truly depraved

To cause so many millions

Of children to be enslaved.

The show revealed

The love they had -

The girl, the boy

And their widowed dad.

Hope burned hot inside

A dad of six

Tired of just arresting pedophiles

Getting there kicks.

He worked toward arresting

The “bigger fish to fry”

And succeeded in imprisoning

One trafficking guy.

But what gave him

Greater joy

Was freeing one

Abducted boy.

Tears came when

The boy asked, “Mister,

Since you helped me,

Will they kill my sister?”

The rest of the movie

You need to see.

Just take

The word of me.

“The Sound of Freedom”

Theme must prevail -

“All God’s children are

Not for sale.”
