Drop Sixty-Two
John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the word you have tribulation but take courage; I have overcome the world” (NASB1995).
What a week! My first podcast was postponed again; this time per my request. Attended the visitation of a family member and reconnected with the other family members. Nursing my husband’s newly acquired wound – his story to tell, not mine. The cool mornings and warm afternoons just make me sleepy. Almost missed leading the exercise class today. Enjoyed a full work week. Despite all that, the most exhausting thing has been combating negative self-talk. I learned, through an Instagram post, to recognize the enemy’s schemes to focus on the “what could have been” rather than God in this present moment. Each time my mind wanders to the past, I hand it back to the Lord and ask what He would like me to do going forward.
Heavenly Father,
Forgive us for whatever role we play in the “blame game”. Thank You for giving us a fresh start – all we need to do is repent and ask. May Your peace fill our hearts and lives so full that others will notice and desire to learn more and come to You. May we be beacons of Your light and share Your love and compassion with all.
In Jesus’ Name we pray,
AMEN
